Who hasn’t dreamed of a machine that could automate messages according to the linguistic peculiarities of the target audience? (Be it age, region…) The dream of every communicator or marketer: to adapt web page content to the age and language code of the receiver. Fasterize has achieved this with the development of a new feature: the Swag machine.
The Swag machine: the “young” language feature
The Swag machine is a feature that enables the personalization of website texts according to the language type of the receiver. This feature is based on the analysis of cookies, keywords searched for by the user and the way the user communicates on social networks. Thanks to text-mining technology, we are able to distinguish the linguistic peculiarities of each user. Our engine, which rewrites HTML pages on the fly, then only needs to integrate the translation of the page texts.
Also, as language is a living thing and “young” language evolves daily, an “update terms and expressions” function is available as an option.
To illustrate how the Swag Machine works, let’s take the example of 17-year-old Théo, a lover of rap culture and reality TV angels. This is what appears on his screen when he visits the Fasterize home page:
Before the Swag machine | After the Swag machine |
Speed up your website | Make your website pop, big guy! |
Fasterize is a turnkey acceleration service | Fasterize, it’s a killer you don’t have to do a thing, and it’s rapiiiiiid! |
Simple, instant and adapted to all sites & terminals | Easy, T’s good anywhere, anytime |
Ask for a demo | Wesh, don’t be shy |
The whole point of this feature is to address the receiver using his or her own language, leaving him or her in his or her comfort zone and thus facilitating the commercial relationship. Ultra-personalization is the key to success! For the moment, the Swag machine is aimed at the 15-25 age group, but several developments are underway.
The Swag machine: an evolving feature
1. New targets to come
In the coming months, the Swag machine will no longer be aimed solely at the 15-25 age group. In fact, our team of IT experts is currently developing the functionality’s little “brothers” and “sisters”: the 70+, the 100+ (who are becoming more and more numerous every year) but also Alsatians, Bretons, Normans… will soon have web pages that integrate their language styles.
2. The user’s mood soon taken into account
Another upcoming feature: we’ll also be able to identify the user’s current mood by analyzing all the data they share on the Internet:
are they sharing positive information (sunny photos or photos of a party with friends)
or are they sharing less happy information (such as a visit to their mother-in-law’s house…)?
We’re taking personalization to the next level!
*What is swag? Swag is a term used by young people and rappers these days to designate a “sartorial art” associated with a look and attitude that inspires confidence in one’s appearance. Members of the community call themselves swaggers. |
