Aware of the arrival of Page Experience update, the update of Google’s ranking algorithm that gives more importance to the user experience, Easypara’s teams wanted to carry out 2 priority projects at the same time. It was a question of both optimizing the loading speed of all web pages, and tackling a complete replatforming . Conduct a redesign project and optimize loading speed

Easypara’s teams had identified display speed and interactivity problems on the e-commerce site based on Magento 1, but without being able to define the origin or provide solutions.

The site welcomed around 14 million users in 2021 for 72 million page views. To help provide an optimized user experience on mobile and desktop , a migration to Magento 2 was planned.

In addition to the need to optimize the user experience – loading speed being a priority for 75% of visitors – the teams were also in an emergency situation following Google’s announcements about the importance of Core Web Vitals for SEO .

In short, thanks to a better loading speed, Easypara wanted on the one hand to improve the quality of the user experience; and on the other hand, to optimize its Core Web Vitals to promote better indexing by Google, and thus meet the challenges of visibility in an increasingly competitive health, pharmacy and parapharmacy market.

But Easypara knows: a redesign is not enough to make a site fast ! So, to relieve the technical teams in order to carry out this redesign project with complete peace of mind, and benefit from effective and sustainable optimizations , Fasterize has been identified as a player for expert support.

A sustainably optimized website and technical resources

Automating all the techniques and best practices for a fast site (compression of images and resources to the most efficient formats, cache strategy , CDN , optimization of third-party scripts and JavaScript, etc.) allowed Easypara to focus entirely on its redesign project.

In addition, the teams are improving their skills in web performance thanks to the support provided by the Fasterize teams, with the prospect of strengthening their expertise, in order to better identify the levers for improving performance in the future.

Since deploying Fasterize’s SaaS solution, the e-commerce site has recorded +10% conversions , and SEO traffic is 10% higher than the competition.

In terms of raw performance, Speed Index was reduced by an average of 65%, Time To First Byte by 42%, and Start Render by 77%. As for Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), one of the Core Web Vitals, it was divided by 2.
