Fasterize now supports Let’s Encrypt

Sommaire

We’ve been hearing a lot about HTTPS lately. It’s no longer just an advantage, it’s now a “must-have” (for security, of course, but also for SEO).

If setting up an HTTPS site used to be complex and costly, Let’s encrypt has changed all that.
Let’s Encrypt is a free, automated certification authority that supplies SSL certificates valid for 3 months (renewable). This new authority actively contributes to a more secure and privacy-friendly Web. That’s why it was important for us to be compatible with Let’s Encrypt, while making life as easy as possible for our customers.

Use Let’s Encrypt with Fasterize and enable free TLS on your site

Already using Let’s Encrypt? Good news, we’re fully compatible. You no longer need to send us new certificates every 3 months.
If you don’t use Let’s Encrypt yet, but would like to, let us know! We’ll take care of everything.
Contact our support team, it’s free!

What is Let’s encrypt?

As we explained earlier, Let’s Encrypt is a certification authority that provides free certificates. The process is automated to avoid the current complex process of creating, validating, signing, installing and renewing security certificates. By September 2016, Let’s Encrypt had already issued over 10 million certificates. It is now the leading provider of certificates.

For us, this integration is a first step towards making HTTPS available to everyone. Our ultimate aim is to make it easier to obtain TLS certificates from the source.
