What position do you hold at Fasterize? And what do your missions involve?
I’ve been a CSE (Customer Success Engineer) at Fasterize for six weeks. In other words, I’m still a newbie 🙂 My role is to support a customer who wants to plug in our website acceleration solution: webperf audit, configuration of our optimization engine and project management are now part of my daily routine! I’m also on hand to listen to customers and gather invaluable information on how to improve the product’s functionality. My aim is to make our customers happy, and to ensure that our solution is used to its full potential.
What’s your vision of this job?
For me, versatility is one of the main qualities required for the CSE job. Listening, empathy, flexibility, organization, good interpersonal skills and an analytical mind are all necessary to best meet our customers’ expectations. You also need a good technical background and a good understanding of e-commerce issues.
If you had to describe Fasterize, you would say (several choices are possible)
- A liberated company (siesta, optional meetings…)
- A company on a human scale with a human management style (no hierarchy…)
- A geeky company with a penchant for the Back to the Future saga (a mythical saga, by the way…)
- A company that considers its employees and involves them in all company decisions.
I’d go for 2 and 4. It would be a mix of both: a company on a human scale and a company that considers its employees… I attach great importance to human relations, and it’s great that each and every one of us can take part in decision-making.
Why did you choose to join a free enterprise?
What I wanted most of all was to work in a human-scale structure. I didn’t really want to join a liberated company at the outset. I was vaguely familiar with the concept after attending an afterwork session. Today, I’m just wondering how long it will take for companies to move towards this way of operating.
Has your vision of the liberated enterprise remained the same since you joined Fasterize?
I’m beginning to get a better grasp of the concept of the liberated company: making decisions, not being presentee, being autonomous in your work… What I remember most are the human values that drive the company. Decision-making is also an asset in this type of company. If you’d like to find out more about the Liberated Enterprise, please watch this video:
What would you say to someone who is still hesitating about joining Fasterize?
The solution we’re developing to accelerate the web is very interesting. It brings value to the companies that use it. Fasterize is growing fast, and there’s a lot to create! You’ll be working with top-level developers, which is very stimulating. The webperf field is a constantly evolving environment where you can learn new things every day.
After all the other advantages: unlimited vacations, choice of salary, telecommuting… that’s all good, but what I appreciate even more is coming to work with a smile on my face every day and sharing pleasant moments with my new colleagues.
Environment, challenge, friendliness, conviviality, it’s all there. Come with your eyes closed!
Thank you Romain and welcome to the team! Enjoy 🙂
