Bureau Vallée combines webperf and personalization with Fasterize

Sommaire

Clean code, vastly improved performance, and time saved to devote to other developments – these are the strengths that have made Fasterize indispensable for Bureau Vallée.

Improving web performance: challenge accepted

The implementation of Fasterize is part of a series of actions undertaken by Bureau Vallée to optimize its webperf. The technical challenge was considerable, since the site references the products of a network of franchises whose 330 physical boutiques are autonomous in terms of pricing and stock management. This requires a particularly strong layer of personalization on the website.

This challenge was met by Fasterize, which contributed significantly to optimizing the performance of bureau-vallee.fr! The objective was to get the Speed Index below 1000. It stood at 2000 in 2017 and fell below 900 in 2018 with the implementation of the solution.

Complementing existing webperf actions

On the Fasterize side, the Customer Success Engineer facilitated an integration in support of the webperf optimization actions already carried out by Bureau Vallée teams.

Fasterize’s engine was adapted to the site’s complex and specific structure to guarantee an optimal experience, particularly in terms of caching, by relieving the burden on servers through cache management directly on its own platform, and by setting up a crawler to preload the most important pages.

Among other features, Fasterize gives Bureau Vallée complete autonomy to empty and purge caches, to guarantee optimum data freshness.
