We enhanced our API to ease your server logs access.

You can now retrieve your cached page logs (whether there are cached on a CDN or on Fasterize) easily. A good news, especially for SEO professionals, who can find a lot of meaningful data in these logs. And, the icing on the cake, we are officially integrated with Botify and Screaming Frog!

Our API update finally lets you retrieve your logs from all requests passing through Fasterize whether for cached pages, static resources on the CDN, etc. The format is JSON which is easy to parse for common tools like Botify, Splunk or Logstash.

In order to simplify your API call, we have already prepared two filters: SEO visitors (traffic from search engine) and bots traffic.

Why is it interesting for your SEO?

Logs analysis helps you get some insight from an SEO point of view:

  • The volume of pages crawled by Google vs. actual page volume.
  • The volume of GoogleBot crawling per day.
  • Crawl rate (in general, by depth, by category).
  • The active page rate (usually by depth, by category).
  • The HTTP status codes to find page in 404.
  • The pooled analysis of SEO crawling and visits.

As our clients are our top priority, we have recently helped two of them integrate with Botify* and Screaming Frog**.

If you are using one of these tools in combination with Fasterize, please contact our support team. For Botify users, you just have to send us your FTP access and Fasterize will upload log files directly to Botify’s servers.

More than SEO, access logs file are interesting to analyze intrusion, to check response time (on many web pages) or to know the cache hit ratio.
